DESCRIPTION:\nJoin SCCIJ Teams at Tokyo Yamathon 2026 and become part of th
 e Swiss business community in Japan as we participate in Tokyo Yamathon\, 
 one of the city's most popular urban team challenges. Organised by the Int
 ernational Volunteer Group (IVG)\, Tokyo Yamathon offers a unique opportun
 ity to discover Tokyo while enjoying teamwork\, networking\, and a shared 
 challenge. Our participation forms part of the Swiss-Japan Charity campaig
 n\, an SCCIJ initiative supporting Swiss-Japan Faces of Hope\, a Swiss-Jap
 anese cancer research initiative. With the support of On Japan\, we invite
  members and friends to join SCCIJ Teams at Tokyo Yamathon and help turn e
 very step into support for young cancer researchers. Whether you are an ex
 perienced Yamathon participant or simply looking for a fun challenge with 
 colleagues\, clients\, friends\, or family\, we invite you to join SCCIJ T
 eams at Tokyo Yamathon\, strengthen our community\, and make every step co
 unt. Teams of 2-4 participants are welcome. If you would like to participa
 te individually\, let us know and we will do our best to connect you with 
 other participants to form a team (subject to availability).\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
 \nParticipants will join the official Tokyo Yamathon\, one of Tokyo's most
  popular urban team challenges. Teams of two to four participants will nav
 igate through the city while discovering Tokyo from a different perspectiv
 e. Teams may choose one of the following distances:\n\n\n\n\nHalf-a-Half Y
 amathon (approx. 10 km)\n\n\n\nHalf Yamathon (21 km)\n\n\n\nFull Yamathon 
 (42 km)\n\n\n\n\nTo secure a place\, each team is kindly asked to register
  a Team Leader as soon as possible. The Team Leader may provide the requir
 ed information either during registration or at a later stage. The followi
 ng details will be requested:\n\n\n\n\nTeam name\n\n\n\nNames of all 2-4 p
 articipants\n\n\n\nSelected distance\n\n\n\n\nBy joining the SCCIJ teams\,
  participants will not only enjoy the Tokyo Yamathon experience but also s
 upport an important charitable initiative. After covering the official Tok
 yo Yamathon registration fee\, the remaining proceeds will be donated to S
 wiss-Japan Faces of Hope\, a Swiss-Japanese cancer research initiative sup
 porting young researchers developing innovative ideas and bringing hope to
  patients and their families. This initiative also provides an excellent o
 pportunity to strengthen relationships within the Swiss business community
  while promoting health\, teamwork\, and corporate social responsibility.\
 n\n\n\nThe official Tokyo Yamathon starts in waves depending on the select
 ed distance:\n\n\n\n\nFull Yamathon (42 km): early morning (approximately 
 8:00)\n\n\n\nHalf Yamathon (21 km): mid-morning (approximately 9:00)\n\n\n
 \nHalf-a-Half Yamathon (10 km): late morning (approximately 10:00)\n\n\n\n
 \nFollowing the challenge\, SCCIJ participants are invited to join an info
 rmal networking gathering to celebrate the day together. Later this autumn
 \, all participating companies will also be invited to a special reception
  recognising the contribution made by the SCCIJ teams to the Swiss-Japan F
 aces of Hope fundraising campaign.\n\n\n\nThanks to the generous support o
 f On Japan\, SCCIJ participants will also enjoy special benefits throughou
 t the initiative. Additional details will be announced soon.\n\n\n\nMore d

 ractical arrangements\, will be shared with all registered participants cl
 oser to the event.\n\n\n\nWhether your goal is to enjoy the challenge\, co

 ll be donated to Swiss-Japan Faces of Hope\, a Swiss-Japanese initiative c
 ommitted to funding a concrete outcome: an innovative cancer research proj
 ect led by a young researcher. The project will be selected in collaborati
 on with the Swiss-Japan Faces of Hope Advisory Board and announced in in D
 ecember 2026. The selected researcher will receive support to generate the
  preliminary data needed to validate an innovative idea\, often a crucial 
 first step towards securing larger research grants and accelerating scient
 ific progress.The Advisory Board contributes its expertise and perspective
  throughout the selection process\, ensuring a transparent and meaningful 
 evaluation.100% of the funds raised will be dedicated to supporting the se

 ort&nbsp\;Swiss-Japan Faces of Hope\, an initiative dedicated to empowerin
 g the next generation of cancer researchers.\n\n\n\nIn 2026\, Faces of Hop
 e will launch a&nbsp\;national call for proposals&nbsp\;inviting young res
 earchers across Japan to submit innovative Swiss-Japanese cancer research 
 projects. The selected project will receive a&nbsp\;Faces of Hope Pilot Gr
 ant\, designed to help generate the preliminary data needed to transform p
 romising ideas into future discoveries.\n\n\n\nThe grant recipient will be
  selected by the&nbsp\;Faces of Hope Advisory Board&nbsp\;and announced pu
 blicly at a special event in early 2027\, where donors and supporters will
  be invited to meet the researcher and discover the impact of their contri
