 g in Japan is a joint evening talk series organised by the Science &amp\; 
 Technology Office\, Embassy of Switzerland in Japan\, and the Swiss Chambe
 r of Commerce and Industry in Japan (SCCIJ). Through inspiring personal st
 ories\, practical advice\, and meaningful networking\, the series aims to 
 strengthen connections within the Swiss community in Japan.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\
 nBuilding a life and career in Japan is an exciting journey filled with op
 portunities\, challenges\, and unexpected discoveries. Whether you have ju
 st arrived or have been living here for years\, hearing the experiences of
  those who have already walked the path can offer inspiration\, practical 
 advice\, and new perspectives.\n\n\n\nThriving and Surviving in Japan is a
  joint evening talk series organised by the Science &amp\; Technology Offi
 ce\, Embassy of Switzerland in Japan\, and the Swiss Chamber of Commerce a
 nd Industry in Japan (SCCIJ). Each session features a member of the Swiss 
 community sharing their personal and professional journey in Japan\, refle
 cting on the decisions they made\, the challenges they faced\, and the les
 sons they learned along the way.\n\n\n\nFollowing the talk\, participants 
 are invited to continue the conversation during an informal networking rec
 eption over Swiss cheese and refreshments. The series offers a welcoming s
 pace to exchange ideas\, expand your network\, and meet people from differ
 ent backgrounds who share an interest in Switzerland and Japan.\n\n\n\nWhe
 ther you are a student\, researcher\, entrepreneur\, corporate professiona
 l\, or simply curious about life and careers in Japan\, Thriving and Survi

 r\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMr. Michael Weber is a Swiss-qualified lawyer\,
  IT engineer\, and researcher working at the intersection of law\, technol
 ogy\, and criminal justice.\n\n\n\nHe is a Foreign Law Associate at Nozomi
  Sogo Law Office in Tokyo\, In-House Counsel at Recursive AI\, and a Resea
 rch Assistant at the University of Zurich. In 2026\, he also began a resea
 rch master’s program at the University of Tokyo\, focusing on the impact
  of artificial intelligence on the law of evidence and standards of proof.
