We are pleased to invite you to our April Luncheon with Prof. Dr. Christian Schwarzenegger, Vice President Faculty Affairs and Scientific Information, University of Zurich and Professor of Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure Law, and Criminology.

Advancing AI and Medicine: Swiss–Japanese Collaboration at the Frontier of Innovation
Switzerland and Japan are global leaders in artificial intelligence, medicine, and life sciences. In this talk, Prof. Dr. Christian Schwarzenegger, awarded the Order of the Rising Sun (2025), explores how academic excellence and strategic partnerships—such as between the University of Zurich and Kyoto University & other top Japanese institutions—translate into high-impact innovation. From AI-assisted cancer therapy to smart dental diagnostics and regenerative medicine, research is rapidly moving from lab to market. Start-ups like ONTRACK Biomedical show how academic spin-offs can revolutionize healthcare delivery. AI-driven tools are transforming medical education, accelerating discovery, and creating new business models. By bridging science, education, and entrepreneurship, Swiss–Japanese collaborations offer profitable, scalable solutions for tomorrow’s healthcare challenges—and a compelling case for joint investment in tech-powered life sciences.
