We are pleased to invite you to our January Luncheon with Mr. Zuhair Khan, CFA, Managing Director / Senior Fund Manager at UBP Investments Co., Ltd., who will deliver a speech titled “Economic Health, Global Competitiveness, and Macroeconomic Risks”.

2024 has been a year of elections, the majority of which have seen incumbents lose outright or at best remain in power by forming weak coalition governments. On the flip side, most stock markets globally have done well this year, generating double digit returns and marking new historic highs. Are these economies doing well, as rising stock markets indicate, or are they doing poorly, as election results suggest?
In his presentation for the SCCIJ, Mr. Zuhair Khan (UBP Investments Co., Ltd.) will review a number of measures of economic health to judge the state of economies. He will also examine metrics that help us evaluate the long-term competitiveness of countries. Finally, he will present some of the macroeconomic risks across major economies.
