Tokyo (SCCIJ) – The WATCH.SWISS Exhibition is currently taking place at the Nihombashi Mitsukoshi Main Store as part of the 29th Mitsukoshi World Watch Fair, offering visitors an immersive introduction to the craftsmanship, precision, and heritage of Swiss watchmaking.

The exhibition is supported by the Embassy of Switzerland in Japan and Switzerland Tourism, with the Swiss Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Japan (SCCIJ) as a nominal sponsor. Running until Tuesday, August 18, the exhibition features seven interactive “Totems” exploring the world of Swiss watches, as well as a digital “Workbench” where visitors can experience the process of assembling a mechanical movement.
A dedicated salon invites visitors to discover Switzerland beyond watchmaking, combining culture, conversation, art, and Swiss hospitality. Visitors can browse a selection of watch-related books in the Library area, exchange views on watchmaking and design, and enjoy a creative coloring experience with Caran d’Ache art materials.
A Taste of Switzerland – This Weekend
Those visiting this weekend will have an additional opportunity to experience Swiss flavors. On Saturday, August 15 and Sunday, August 16, from 11:00 to 18:00, visitors can enjoy a selection including Nespresso coffee, rare Swiss wines, and Appenzeller, the traditional Swiss herbal liqueur made with 42 varieties of herbs and spices.
The tastings provide another way to discover Switzerland through its culture, flavors, and hospitality alongside more than 400 years of Swiss watchmaking tradition.
