The purpose of the Swiss-Japanese Chamber of Commerce (SJCC) is to promote trade and economic contacts between Switzerland and Japan.
The SJCC accomplishes its mission by providing individual and corporate members with a networking platform. It promotes the discussion of economy-related themes and other topics of shared interest relating to the two countries. It maintains good relations with the authorities and economic organizations in both countries and supports them by developing and maintaining bilateral relations.
SJCC members benefit from a network of 300 members. The Chamber organizes dinner presentations, business seminars, and after-work events throughout Switzerland, giving you the opportunity to meet with other members and obtain up-to-date information on Swiss-Japanese relations.
Members also benefit from discounted participation fees on all SJCC events.
Parliamentary Group
The office of the SJCC also acts as secretariat of the Parliamentary Friendship Group Switzerland-Japan (スイス日本友好議員連盟), which includes 33 Members of the Federal Assembly.
Young Professionals
The SJCC Young Professionals Association provides a networking platform for former recipients of the Scholarship Fund and like-minded young professionals. There is a special discounted membership fee for young professionals wishing to join the SJCC.
SJCC events and activities
The SCCIJ and the SJCC cooperate closely across many areas to strengthen Swiss–Japanese business relations. The Scholarship Fund is jointly managed by both chambers.
Members of the SCCIJ are entitled to participate in SJCC activities in Switzerland at member rates. The same conditions apply to SJCC members attending SCCIJ activities in Japan.
