Tokyo (SCCIJ) – We are pleased to announce that the Executive Committee of the Swiss Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Japan (SCCIJ) has nominated Mr. Andre Zimmermann as an Honorary Member of the Chamber.

Mr. Zimmermann has dedicated a significant part of his career to Japan, beginning in 1989 as Managing Director of Telekurs Financial. He later served as Senior Representative for LocationSwitzerland (SECO) from 2005 to 2007 and assumed the role of Managing Director for MATISA Japan in 2007. In 2010, he founded Lindt & Sprüngli Japan Co., Ltd., and acted as its Representative Director until 2023. He then founded ZAC Inc., a company specializing in importing premium Swiss wines and spirits to Japan. Furthermore, Mr. Zimmermann was elected official adviser to the Nagano town, Iizuna.
Mr. Zimmermann has also been an active member of the SCCIJ Executive Committee, where he served as President from 2019 to 2023, and contributed to the Executive Operating Board of the European Business Council (EBC).

Mr. Zimmermann’s remarkable professional journey reflects his versatility and business acumen. His visionary leadership and unwavering dedication to enhancing member engagement have left an enduring legacy at SCCIJ. During his tenure, the Chamber expanded its network, introduced new initiatives, and solidified its role as a vital platform for fostering dialogue and collaboration between Switzerland and Japan.
Mr. Zimmermann’s exceptional contributions to the SCCIJ community and his profound understanding of Swiss and Japanese cultures have been pivotal in shaping the Chamber’s growth and reputation.
The nomination as an Honorary Member is a tribute to Mr. Zimmermann’s outstanding service and commitment to the SCCIJ and the broader Swiss-Japanese business community.
